Miguel Martín Fernández de Velasco begins belated his literary adventure. On the point to be 50 years, he try to avoid a slipped disk operation, resting as prescribed by his doctor, he takes the opportunity to write his novel Peñagrande, whose edition financed personally.

As a result of this book, he begins a productive literary career, where he took fields so different as literary for young people, poetry, traditional novel, or historical novel.

The subject matter of his books (the nature, the American History, the Prehistory...) is always the reflection of his preoccupations and interests, and his particular way to understanding the life. Versatile and lively man, in his books he relates most of his adventures, and describes faithfully the people that have meet on the way, in some moment of his life.

His literary work is distinguished by a purest root Castilian (Spanish), a communicative love to the nature, and a strong human feeling.
